This family tree starts in about 1600 with three generations with the surname Hauker. This then gets changed to Hawker. Most lived in the area around Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, UK for most of it's generations, with very few having moved away. This tree links with my other sites, all of which are connected to the Sumner family.

An ongoing research project with the goal of publishing a HAWKINS genealogy. What is known of the ancestors ends abruptly in Howard County, Indiana with Bluford HAWKINS (abt.1797-1873) and his wife, Magdalene DILLMAN (1808-1900). The family home, known also as the HAWKINS House, is home to the Rogers Historical Museum (www.rogersarkansas.com/museum).
