Wisconsin State Genealogical Society - Certificate Programs
The Wisconsin State Genealogical Society offers a certificate program for descendants of people who settled in the state more than a century ago (Century Ancestor) or before 1851 (Pioneer Ancestor), had an ancestor who obtained a homestead in Wisconsin (Homestead), or an ancestor who served in the military in conflicts from colonial times through the Vietnam War, and was born, died, lived or served in Wisconsin (Military). While these are not lineage societies, per se, documentation must be submitted to prove direct or collateral descent from the qualifying ancestor in order to be awarded a certificate.
