William and Abigail (MILHOUS) MAXWELL, Kershaw County, South Carolina, 1796. Other names include: RUMPH, BOLTON, BOYLES, WOLFE, SYPHRETT, AYER, DUFFEE, MICKLE, MILHOUS. This Scots-Irish family probably landed in Philadelphia (date unknown) and moved to Kershaw County, South Carolina about 1750. They were also in Barnwell County, South Carolina. Most of the Maxwell children moved to Alabama (Limestone, Dallas, Wilcox, Monroe Counties) about 1820. Then many went on to Mississippi and Texas.

My Mother's Family History

The purpose of my blog is to record my family history and genealogy on my mother's side of the family.
