Authorized by the Raleigh County Commission in 1978, the county register includes districts, sites, buildings, structures, and objects that are significant in Raleigh County history, architecture, archeology, engineering, and culture. The Raleigh County Register of Historic Places is administered by the Raleigh County Historic Landmarks Commission.
