The African American Archives of the Western Reserve Historical Society
The African American Archives of the Western Reserve Historical Society was established in 1970. Its purpose is to collect, preserve and make accessible historic documents, photographs, memorabilia, art, and artifacts pertaining to African American life, history and culture in Northeast Ohio. The collection includes manuscripts, photographs, microfilm, and newspaper collections. Museum artifacts are specific to the African American experience and cover a wide range of topics and categories of primary importance to the body of Black history.

The Ohioana Library Collection
Located in Columbus, Ohio. The Ohioana Library was established in 1929 under the direction of Martha Kinney Cooper, then First Lady of Ohio, who recruited other distinguished Ohioans to assist in gathering a collection of books written by Ohioans and about Ohioans and Ohio. The collection is comprised of more that 45,000 books, 10,000 pieces of sheet music, and approximately 20,000 biographical files on Ohio writers, musicians, artists, and others of note.

The Irish American History Archives is a collecting initiative of the Library of the Western Reserve Historical Society. The program collects, preserves, and makes available for research the papers and photographs of the Cleveland Irish community and the historical records of Irish organizations and institutions in northeast Ohio. Materials relating to politics, religion, culture, business, labor, genealogy, education, fraternal organizations, charities, and individual life experiences are the key to the understanding of the Irish experience in greater Cleveland

Wilmington College: Watson Library Special Collections Department
Wilmington, Ohio. The Quaker Collection contains approximately 7,000 volumes, ca. 1800-present.The collection includes bound periodicals, several hundred pamphlets, tracts, and rare books, and a small collection of books for children and young adults. About 4,000 volumes comprise the circulating collection, covering all aspects of Quaker history, philosophy, thought, and practice. Most titles may circulate for three weeks. The Quaker Collection also holds current subscriptions to 40 Quaker periodicals and newsletters and retains the published minutes of various Yearly Meetings throughout the United States. Generally, these items do not circulate. Selected resources may be available in the college's digital archive.
