The Jewish Genealogical Society (JGS) is a nonprofit organization founded in New York in 1977 and dedicated to collecting, preserving and disseminating knowledge about Jewish genealogy.

New York Genealogical & Biographical Society

The New York Genealogical and Biographical Society, founded in 1869, is the oldest genealogical society in New York and the only one that is statewide. It produces the quarterly journal The Record and the quarterly review The New York Researcher; it offers education programs and partners with other organizations through the New York Family History School; and it provides a rich collection of online resources for its members. One of the principal genealogical reference libraries in the United States. The collection consists of more than 75,000 books, 1,300 periodicals, some 30,000 manuscripts, and nearly 22,000 microforms, as well as computer media.

New York Irish History Roundtable

The New York Irish History Roundtable promotes interest in and research on the 300-year history of people of Irish heritage in New York City. Its purpose is to provide opportunities to exchange information, and for members to learn from each other, about the complex relationship between the Irish and New York City since the colonial period. It sponsors lectures, field trips, walking tours, special projects, graduate and undergraduate scholarships, museum exhibitions, genealogy workshops, newsletters and an annual journal, New York Irish History. The New York Irish History Roundtable is a non-denominational, non-political, registered not-for-profit corporation. Its members include both professional and amateur historians and genealogists. Membership is open to all.
