Items of Interest from Moore's Rural New-Yorker, 1855-1857
Transcribed items of genealogical and historical interest from three volumes of the weekly agricultural newspaper, Moore's Rural New-Yorker, published in Rochester. Items include marriage and death notices, proceedings of agricultural societies including names of participants and officers, and news reports. Focus is on the Rochester area but some items are from other parts of the US. Blog format searchable by surname. Items will be blogged daily throughout 2012, after which the project will be complete. Not an exhaustive index of said newspapers; look-ups available by e-mail only if requestor knows the date of the event in question.

Index to Fairport Herald (1873-1898) and to Monroe County Mail (1880-1898). The index cards were prepared by the National Youth Administration indexing and copying project ca 1939.
