In 1901, the Charity Organization Society of Buffalo published a map that showed the location of every church in Buffalo (Erie County, NY). Peter Malia, an intern in the Research Library of The Buffalo History Museum, replicated that map. Churches are color-coded by denomination. Approximately 70 images from the Buffalo Church Directory, published by R.E. Downer in 1931, and 31 images from the History of the Catholic Church in Western New York by Rev. Thomas Donohue, D.D. in 1904, were also added. This is a Buffalo History Museum Public Project.
