Kentucky Ancestors Online | A free publication of the Kentucky Historical Society
Kentucky Ancestors is now an online publication, rather than a print publication. Kentucky Ancestors, the publication of the Kentucky Historical Society, has been preserving and promoting the history of Kentucky families since 1965. Kentucky Ancestors publishes genealogical research, photographs, family and government records and other genealogical information. Regular features include Bible records; submitted information from family Bibles; They Went Thataway, which documents the stories of early Kentucky families that went west; Lost Records of Nelson County, which helps secure 18th- and 19th-century records of that important county; Relatively Speaking, a genealogical column; and Mystery Album, which preserves old photographs. The publication is one of the benefits of membership, and members may submit queries as a networking tool to learn more about their own family histories.
