A component of the California Digital Library, the OAC includes a single, searchable database of finding aids to primary sources and their digital facsimiles. Primary sources include letters, diaries, manuscripts, legal and financial records, photographs and other pictorial items, maps, architectural and engineering records, artwork, scientific logbooks, electronic records, sound recordings, oral histories artifacts and ephemera.

Santa Paula California. Housed in the original Union Oil Company building the museum offers docent-led tours of the upstairs where restored offices from the 1890s provide visitors with a personal, hands-on experience of the early California oil business. In addition to the permanent petroleum exhibits, the Museum presents new exhibits of science, transportation and history throughout the year.
