The GENUKI church database originated as one containing the approximate location of the parishes that existed around 1837. Since then the database has had new fields added to contain additional information, many more churches have been added (in some areas), and more precise locations added where known.

The Annual Malad Valley Welsh Festival is located in Malad, Idaho, in the SE corner of Idaho. Malad Valley has the largest per capita concentration of people of Welsh ancestry outside the country of Wales itself. At this festival, there are classes on genealogy, family history, along with demonstrations on Welsh cooking and dance. There are concerts in the park, along with poetry, a film festival, a parade and fireworks and many more cultural activities.
