The Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs
The Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs today represents the majority of Scottish chiefs – those who are head of the Name and Arms of their clan or family and who have taken up membership through invitation. There are now 135 chiefs who are members.

William Quarrier Home Children Association
From 1896 to 1936, 7,000 Scottish children went to Canada through William Quarriers's Orphan Homes of Scotland, arriving in Belleville (Marchmont Home) and later Brockville (Fairknowe Home) before being sent to work on Ontario farms or as household help.
