For anyone with a historical and genealogical interest in the county of Merseyside, England, which was created in 1974 from parts of Cheshire and Lancashire. The county centers largely on the Liverpool area and includes the harbor of the Mersey estuary and most of the Wirral Peninsula on which are the industrial centers of Birkenhead and Wallasey.
