A unique and historical working collection of British steam railway engines and carriages plus a nationally accredited steam Museum. The collection includes Queen Victoria's royal dining carriage as well as the carriage used by Dwight Eisenhower and Winston Churchill during the planning for the D Day landings.

The Newberry Library - Railroad Archives

The collecting of large corporate archives at the Newberry was initiated in 1943 by Librarian Stanley Pargellis, who advocated the acquisition of records of Midwestern enterprises that contained materials for social and intellectual history as well as business history. Pargellis’s vision was realized with the deposit of several large and important archives of Midwestern railroad companies: the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad Company, the Illinois Central Railroad Company, and the Pullman Company. Smaller railroad-related collections have also been added.

UK Parliament - Parliamentary Archives

The archive service for both Houses of Parliament and facilitates public access to several million records which are preserved in the Victoria Tower repository. The records include plans of canals, roads, railways and other public works deposited in connection with private bills from 1794.

Union Pacific Railroad Museum

The Union Pacific Railroad Museum houses one of the oldest corporate collections in the nation. It includes artifacts, photographs, and documents that trace the development of the transcontinental railroad and the American West. Our mission is to educate the public about the past, present and future of America's largest railroad and the railroad industry. To accomplish this mission the museum will collect, research, and preserve a large collection of photographs, archives and artifacts relating to the railroad industry and the Union Pacific Railroad. Located in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
