FRF Genealogy and Family History
This is the blog of F. Richard FOLKERTH, aka FRF. My immigrant FOLKERTH ancestor, Christopher FOLKERTH, arrived in Philadelphia in 1754, lived for years in Chester County, Pennsylvania before moving to Maryland; his descendants mostly lived in the Miami Valley of Ohio for a couple generations before spreading out. My Jefferis branch was in Pennsylvania even earlier, in the late 1600s. My other families show a similar trail; moving West mostly above the Ohio River. We have some records of my family lines back in Europe for the FOLKERTH family, where the name appears as VOLCKERT(H), as well as European records for some others
