Nationaal Archief - Map Collection
The National Archives of the Netherlands has the largest and most important map collection in the country. Most of the more than 300,000 maps are unique manuscripts. The collection includes maps of the Netherlands, of the former colonies of the Netherlands including New Netherland, Suriname, Netherlands Antilles, Indonesia, India, Taiwan, South Africa, and trade relations. The Map Collection section of the website provides access to the growing collection of digitized maps. Descriptions are in Dutch, and can only be searched using Dutch keywords. Most works are in the public domain and may be downloaded for free.
