This Prussian province was surrounded by the Prussian provinces of Brandenburg, Posen, and Sachsen, as well as the kingdom of Sachsen and the empires of Austria and Russia. Today small parts of this historic area belong to the modern German states of Brandenburg and Sachsen, while most of it belongs to Poland or the Czech Republic.
