Helena and James Selwood: Making a new life in New Zealand
This is the story of a young English couple, James Selwood from Buscot Berkshire who married Helena Jeffery from Ottery St Mary Devonshire. They had an 84 day non-stop trip to Port Chalmers in New Zealand in 1876 on the sailing-ship Oamaru. The trip is recorded day by day in two trip diaries. The Selwoods settled in Northern Southland, with 13 years on a high country sheep farm then spent 24 years as publicans.

Martham is a village in Norfolk, England. It is said to have Saxon routes but my one place study proves it is more historic. The website that compliments it has over 2,200 images and over 200 pages of info including photos and an index for all the gravestones in St Mary the Virgin graveyard.
