The Arkansas Digital Archives contains thousands of images of a wide variety of records preserved by the Arkansas State Archives. We invite you to view items from the ASA’s extensive holdings of original documents, government records, photographs, maps, and much, much more. You can also conduct searches of various databases, guides, finding aids, and catalogs to find information about additional research resources available at the ASA.

Located in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Arkansas State Archives' mission is to: Keep and care for the official archives of the State of Arkansas; collect material bearing on the history of Arkansas from the earliest times; copy and edit official records and other historical material; and encourage historical work and research by the public.

From this page you can search for county records, military records, maps, newspapers, land records, church records, manuscript materials on microfilm, and the State Archives' vertical and printed ephemera files. Here you can also search for photographs located in several of the State Archives' extensive photographic collections, as well as search military and county records, newspapers, vertical files, and general microfilm collections held at our regional archives. These materials have not been digitized, but are available on-site in our research rooms. Some are available as original documents, while others are available only on microfilm.

The Arkansas State Archives houses approximately 13,000 cubic feet of state records and manuscript collections pertaining to the history of Arkansas and its people. These materials have been described and inventoried for ease of access. These inventories, called finding aids, are keyword searchable.
