Children's Home - The Lawrence Register
The Lawrence County Children’s Home was also called the Orphans Home. It opened in 1874 in a large brick house on Front Street, near Railroad Street, and remained there from 1874-1878. In 1878, the Children’s Home was moved to Vernon Street, just east of Ninth Street in Ironton, Ohio where the Juvenile Home is now located.
