In 1800, everyday life had changed little since the year 1000. Yet, by 1900 the Industrial Revolution had transformed the world's economy. The United States was still new and making its way to becoming a world power. Watch it happen as you browse your way through each decade. Then visit the suggested links for more information. The U.S. Heraldic Registry

The U.S. Heraldic Registry is a private enterprise that offers free registration of contemporary and historical heraldry. The mission of the Registry is to compile and offer to the public a comprehensive database of personal, corporate, civic, military, academic, organizational, and ecclesiastical arms.

Through a variety of resources we can come to learn about states and cities as a whole, but what of the countryside? What of the farms and smaller towns? This site is devoted to the unwritten history of the people who lived in these areas.
