Biggar Museum Trust: Genealogy Services

In addition to church records and census returns for many of the parishes in Peeblesshire and the Upper Ward of Lanarkshire, Biggar Museum Trust has a collection of membership lists of local organisations, volunteer statistics from the Napoleonic Wars and the Victorian Volunteer movement, a list of all names which turn up in local documents, diaries and other accounts throughout the seventeenth century, church discipline cases, and an index to the local newspaper which lists such things as show prizewinners, court cases, suicides etcetera, together with the registers of several schools dating from 1873 to recent times.
