Helena and James Selwood: Making a new life in New Zealand
This is the story of a young English couple, James Selwood from Buscot Berkshire who married Helena Jeffery from Ottery St Mary Devonshire. They had an 84 day non-stop trip to Port Chalmers in New Zealand in 1876 on the sailing-ship Oamaru. The trip is recorded day by day in two trip diaries. The Selwoods settled in Northern Southland, with 13 years on a high country sheep farm then spent 24 years as publicans.

Marking Time with Joanne Warby
I am researching Early WAIRARAPA, New Zealand families. The main areas of interest are Masterton and Carterton. Surnames include PAGE, HOOPER, WINTER, COMPTON, OLIVER, GLOVER, TACON, BANKS, WARBY, EDMEADS to name a few. My website MARKING TIME will eventually show how all these families meet, married and lived within the Wairarapa district and forged a life as earler settlers.

The Knowles Collection is group of records on the FamilySearch Community Trees Website. This database originally contained the records of a small section of the Jewish people of the British Isles. That set included less than 10,000 people. What was once a single database, has now grown to be six individual databases that now contain the genealogical records of almost 1.2 million Jewish people: The Jews of the British Isles; The Jews of North America; The Jews of Europe; The Jews of South America and the Caribbean; The Jews of Africa, The Orient and the Middle East; The Jews of the South Pacific. Read more about the collection here: FamilySearch Blog - Popular Online Jewish Genealogy Collection Surpasses One Million Entries
