The Museum tells the story of New Zealand, its place in the Pacific and its people. The Museum is a war memorial for the province of Auckland and holds one of New Zealand's top three heritage libraries. It has pre-eminent Māori and Pacific collections, significant natural history resources and major social and military history collections, as well as decorative arts and pictorial collections.

The Cenotaph Database contains biographical details of over 115,000 New Zealanders who served in war and conflict rom the New Zealand Wars and South Africa, through the First and Second World Wars to Korea, Malaya and Vietnam, and who are now deceased. It is primarily a roll of honour of those who died as a result of war service, but also includes some personnel who have died since.

The Centre for Historical Research and Documentation on War and Contemporary Society (Ceges-Soma) is a research institution on wars and conflicts of the twentieth century and their impact on Belgium. Founded in 1969, it collects archives, documentation, carries out research and organises academic and public events. This documentation is searchable through the online catalogue on this website and can be consulted in the Centre's public reading room in Brussels.
