'Slains Castle' - the 1850/51 Voyage to Australia
The ship was commissioned by the Family Colonisation Loan Society in 1850 for its first sailing from London via Gravesend to Port Phillip & Port Adelaide. Departed London 28th. September, 1850 & Gravesend 1st. October, 1850. Arrived Port Phillip 25th. January 1851 & Port Adelaide 21st. February, 1851.

American History Featuring My Family History
Welcome to my blog website about United States History as told by my relatives. My Ancestory tell the story with their lives and experiences during the Birth of the Country until now. I have been exploring my familys history using the Ancestry website and information and what I am finding is exciting and to know that my Great Great Grandfather played a role in building the country brings US history to life. To share briefly that I started by using my family names from the Vest, Baker, Couch, Michael, Chapman, Green, Morrow, Eaton, Davis, Harvie, Fore and many others using the Ancestry app and website. What I am finding is everyday people that lived life in different times and had many experiences. Other the next several weeks, months and years, I will be sharing with you some of the findings and different books to use to find additional content for further reading. It was the 3rd biennial conference co-sponsored by TIARA (The Irish Ancestral Research Association) and IGSI (the Irish Genealogical Society International). The next conference is in 2020.

Dodge/Jefferson Counties Genealogical Society

In these indexes the name of the individual is followed by the town in which they lived, the month, day, year, and page number of the newspaper where the event is found.
