A thirty four acre working cemetery in the heart of the city of Plymouth. Founded in 1848 now owned and managed by the Ford Park Cemetery Trust, a company limited by guarantee with charitable status.

Welcome

Ford Park Cemetery offers you a wide range of services from burials and memorials to wakes, exhibitions and guided themed tours of the beautiful grounds. All within a peaceful and historic setting in the heart of the City.

The Trust manages the grounds to balance the needs of a working cemetery with the need to protect and enhance the wide variety of plant and wildlife. The cemetery also promotes the rich history of Plymouth and the Victorian grave symbolism.

We depend on income from burial services, grants, donations and the support of the Friends of Ford Park Cemetery and volunteers. If you can help in any way please see How You Can Help page or click on the Donate button below. For more information on the work of the Friends, Click Here

The Trust wish to make Choice central to our services. Please look at our site for details of our services, contact our office or simply visit the cemetery to enjoy its unique environment and history. If you bring your dog, please respect the cemetery and ensure that it is kept on a lead at all times and any mess is picked up.

Upcoming Events

As well as our regular bric a brac and books stalls this Saturday, it is also our Heavenly Bakes Saturday with delicious cakes and other baked goods for sale.

Plymouth in the 1920's Exhibition

Please note that our current exhibition ends on Thursday 10th July to make way for our next exciting one starting on the 13th July. The visitor Centre is open Tuesday and Thursday 10.30am to 3.30pm and Sundays 11.30am to 3.30pm.

Admission free (Donations welcome to support the work of the cemetery)

Weekly News

What a busy week we have had; a group of volunteers helped us with the maintenance of some graves and worked very hard under the scorching sun! Their help was much appreciated and all involved seemed to enjoy their day out from the office.

We also held our very successful Summer fair on Saturday; many delicious cakes were enjoyed, book lovers were spoilt for choice from our book stall and the ladies served up yummy bacon butties and pasties.
