Census Records
This collection contains county demographic information from 1847 through 1910. Both federal and territorial (later state) censuses were conducted on differing years. Federal censuses were taken every ten years and territorial census were taken on an annual, then biennial basis, yet both were not taken in the same year. Information collected by the enumerators was defined by statute and varied with each census. See title descriptions for listing of information collected for that year.
