- Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2004For anyone doing geneology searches for German ancestors from Russia, this is the most complete study possible, with many lists of German settlers to the Volga and Black Sea areas and census of the different German-Russian colonies. Lists of surnames, origins in Germany, spouses, children, where settled in Russia, etc. Volume II is mainly Black Sea settlers, Volume I includes most German-Russian settlements.
