Welcome to The Buckeye Chronicles, presented by The Lakewood Historical Society. The Buckeye Chronicles explore the regional cultural landscape with vignettes of Ohio history--its people and places.
Our chronicler, Dan Chabek, is a Lakewood resident and trustee of the Lakewood Historical Society. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Chabek was a Cleveland Press newspaper reporter and a public relations representative for Ford Motor Company. He has written a column on Lakewood history for the Lakewood Sun Post since 1988. These Lakewood Lore articles are reprinted at the Lakewood Public Library website.
