Mabank Texas in World War II | RootSeekers.org
In the mid 1940s, the Mabank Banner published a pamphlet “Mabank in World War II” In which they honored not only men and women who served in the military during the war years but those people on the home front who contributed to the war effort. Contributions to the Navy Relief Fund, the USO, Red Cross, and the amount of war bonds purchased between 1941 and 1945 were included on the pages with special recognition given to those who sacrificed their lives in the battle against Germany, Italy, and Japan. In these pages you will find photographs of service men and women and short biographical sketches which will include their birth dates, family members, service records and the individual’s accomplishments.
