Robert and Elizabeth left the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia and headed west with their 5 children only to have the youngest son, Issac, die in Missouri (around 1849). The family turned around and then the father Robert, died in Illinois. This left Elizabeth and her 4 children to went on to settle in Ohio.
