Colorado Historical Records Index
A name index database that has been compiled from historical records in the State Archives' custody. Researchers may type in the name of their relative and hit the search button to see those entries that have been recorded. The information found will identify the type of record the name was found in (i.e. prison record), what county it is from and the date of the record. This index will be expanded monthly as new information is added to the database. Record types include: probate, court cases, naturalizations, pensions, birth, marriage, divorce, death, land and much more.

Colorado State Archives Corrections Records
From the Colorado Department of Personnel & Administration (DPA) Division of Information Technologies (DoIT). The Colorado State Archives is a primary repository for Colorado State Penitentiary and Reformatory records. Researchers can find biographical information about particular inmates, as well as information about their crime, sentence and parole or pardon. Mug shots exist for most penitentiary inmates. Since the Colorado State Archives is also the repository for governors' records, researchers may also be able to find Executive Pardons and governors' correspondence concerning corrections matters.
