Parish Register Transcription Society
The Parish Register Transcription Society was formed in April 1999, with the aim of publishing transcripts of Parish Registers and other manuscripts / records from all counties in the UK for use by researchers in family history. These are available on CD or pay-per-view searchable databases online.The Society does not have a subscribed membership but relies on a group of dedicated volunteer transcribers who donate their work for publication. As a non-profit making organisation, all proceeds from the sale of published material are used to fund further transcription and publication projects, with any excess each year being donated to a chosen charity.

Woodgate NY Library Woodgate Area, Oneida County History and Genealogy
This small library in Woodgate, Town of Forestport, Oneida County, NY sits almost on the Adirondack (Mountains) Park boundary. It has an extraordinary selection of both Local History and Genealogy. The Local History section comprises the years 1862-1997 and includes photos, newspaper clippings, and miscellany, divided by year. The Genealogy section has cemetery ledgers, death notices, etc, under these headings: Boonville Ledger 1853 - 1855, North Steuben Cemetery, Boonville Death Records 1884 - 1915, St. Patrick's Cemetery (Forestport NY),Carmichael Hill Cemetery, Stanwix Cemetery, Egypt Cemetery, Steuben Corners Cemetery, Frenchville Cemetery, Westernville Presbyterian Cemetery, Gifford Cemetery, White Lake Cemetery, Lee Valley Cemetery, White Lake Corners & Woodgate Settlers. There is a search option to browse their collection. Some surnames include: Curran, Donovan, Moon, Mooney, Keating, Kiernan, Pflendler, Utley. (these are primarily associated with Forestport but there are so many more). The Library has one of the most comprehensive collections of vintage postcards of the local area. Their online publications also contain history and genealogical gems. Included is a complete history of Forestport NY (1950)and a history of the Utley family. Their Adirondack Trail Guides are full of historical and genealogical tidbits as well as images, so don't pass these up!.
