The Knowles Collection
The Knowles Collection is group of records on the FamilySearch Community Trees Website. This database originally contained the records of a small section of the Jewish people of the British Isles. That set included less than 10,000 people. What was once a single database, has now grown to be six individual databases that now contain the genealogical records of almost 1.2 million Jewish people: The Jews of the British Isles; The Jews of North America; The Jews of Europe; The Jews of South America and the Caribbean; The Jews of Africa, The Orient and the Middle East; The Jews of the South Pacific.
Waldensian Families Research
The mission of this website is twofold: (1) provide training on methodologies and resources to find and document Waldensian ancestors from the Piedmont Valleys of Italy and (2) provide easy access to Waldensian resources and databases to support Waldensian family research. Resources include compiled genealogies of Waldensian researchers, abstracts of Waldensian notary records (10,000+ pages), abstracts of Waldensian inheritance claims (321 pages), information about 3,949 Waldensian exiles to Switzerland and Germany from 1686 to 1690, list of Waldensian surnames, and Waldensian research techniques, sources, and reference guides.
